The Municipality of Camerino launches the YouExpert survey, an initiative designed to gather valuable input from business owners, infrastructure specialists, urban planners, and emergency responders on the interdependencies of essential services. This survey, launched within the framework of the MULTICLIMACT project, focuses on strengthening infrastructure resilience in the face of climate-related challenges and natural disasters.
As of 1 February 2025, the data collection phase of the YouExpert survey is underway in Camerino, a city still facing the long-term effects of the 2016 earthquake. This initiative seeks to improve the city’s ability to withstand and recover from service disruptions, ensuring the resilience of key infrastructures, such as water supply, energy networks, and transport systems. The data collection phase will span approximately six months.
The survey engages a diverse range of stakeholders, including decision-makers, infrastructure managers, and local citizens, to assess the operational, social, and economic consequences of service interruptions. Understanding these impacts is critical for developing effective strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and improve response mechanisms. Insights from key sectors—including commercial businesses, power grids, and financial institutions—will contribute to a comprehensive analysis of infrastructure dependencies and potential cascading effects.
