The LIS-Platform provides an integrated IoT foundation that merges sensor networks, BIM datasets, and AI analytics into responsive building systems, with user access enabled through a web-based interface. As a standalone application, the LIS-Platform integrates every aspect of the building while ensuring seamless interoperability with the MULTICLIMACT project.

It supports end-to-end lifecycle versioning of the building project, capturing all modifications across design, construction, and operational phases. Changes from users, objects, and sensors are continuously tracked, enabling event correlation and preserving a complete historical record of the building. It provides a holistic solution for monitoring environmental and structural behavior, aligning building performance with occupant wellbeing, quality of life, safety, and security.

The LIS-Platform is a web-based application that provides a unified interface for managing building data, sensor networks, and digital models. Through this interface, users can visualize Digital Twins, access real-time sensor data, review historical records, and interact with AI-driven insights. The platform covers the entire building lifecycle, from design and construction to operation and maintenance. It integrates data from multiple domains, including BIM models, IoT devices, environmental and structural monitoring systems, and user-generated inputs. Building-based Digital Twins serve as a single source of truth, supporting data integrity, informed decision-making, and effective collaboration among all stakeholders. The platform is accessible via a web-based Progressive Web App and an Android Mobile Companion App, which extends core functionalities with enhanced safety features, real-time updates, and emergency alerts through persistent communication with the LIS platform.

Yes, it is already accessible.

The main user group consists of stakeholders across the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) sector who are involved in the planning, delivery, and operation of buildings. This includes design professionals such as architects, planners, and designers who shape the building concept and layout; engineering specialists who develop structural, energy, safety, and building systems; construction professionals responsible for on-site execution, coordination, cost control, and safety; and building owners, operators, and facility managers who oversee operation, maintenance, and long-term performance. In addition, the user group includes digital and data-oriented professionals such as BIM managers, digital twin and IoT specialists, software providers, data analysts, and cybersecurity experts who support data-driven workflows, smart building technologies, and digital asset management throughout the building lifecycle.

LIS transforms static, siloed buildings into dynamic, data-driven ecosystems reducing maintenance costs, optimizing performance, and enabling continuous evolution toward intelligent, sustainable, and future-proof environments.

The solution is being tested within the MULTICLIMACT Italian demo site. The testing activities are carried out in close collaboration with several project partners, including CYPE, ENEA, UNIVPM, UKA, RINA, and UNICAM, who contribute from both technical and research perspectives.
