On 15–16 October 2025, Riga hosted the 5th General Assembly (GA) of the Horizon Europe project MULTICLIMACT at Riga City Hall. The meeting brought together partners from across Europe in a hybrid format to review achievements from the second project phase and set priorities for the months ahead.
The event began with a visit to the Riga Central Market, including the Dairy Pavilion demo site managed by the Riga Energy Agency (REA). This was followed by a guided tour of Riga’s Old Town, giving participants an opportunity to connect and understand the local context for the Latvian demonstration activities.

The following day was devoted to project work. The morning sessions reviewed achievements from the second project phase, covering work packages seven to ten. These included the development of the CREMA tool for resilience planning, which is now moving into beta testing, and the completion of methods for life-cycle and social impact assessments, supply-chain resilience, and KPI-based catalogues for adaptation measures. Riga will apply these methods to innovative HVAC solutions and stakeholder engagement. Progress was also reported on monitoring and testing pavement solutions and dike models, as well as on digital tools for multi-hazard workflows and risk scenarios. Some tasks have been extended to ensure full validation, but no major deviations were noted.
Attention then turned to the demonstration activities, led by the Riga Energy Agency. The Latvian demo focuses on underfloor heating and cooling systems, renewable energy integration through building-integrated photovoltaics, and HVAC procurement via open innovation. Technical specifications and alignment were discussed, with a dedicated meeting scheduled to resolve outstanding issues. Dissemination and exploitation activities were also addressed, with Steinbeis presenting updates on social media engagement, upcoming newsletters, and video production. Partners were reminded to provide tool descriptions for external communication and to continue collaboration within the project cluster.

The assembly concluded with a review of next steps. Eleven deliverables are due by March 2026, and procurement solutions in Riga must be finalized early next year. Pilot testing and integration of the CREMA tool will continue, alongside the preparation of local Resilience Action Plans. The next General Assembly is planned in Spring 2026.
The Riga meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration and timely data sharing as the project moves toward its final phase, ensuring that practical solutions for climate resilience are delivered across all demonstration sites.
