MULTICLIMACT showcased its commitment to sustainable construction at the ECTP Conference in Brussels. Leading a session on Nature-based Solutions, the project emphasized the importance of resilience and sustainability in the Built Environment, aligning with key EU green and digital transitions.
BRUSSELS, Belgium. 5 March 2024 – MULTICLIMACT marked its presence at the 10th European Conference on Technology and Innovation in Construction (ECTP) held on March 5-6, 2024, in Brussels. This significant event commemorated the 20th anniversary of ECTP and centred around the theme “Designing a smart and green built environment.”
At this pivotal conference, MULTICLIMACT took the lead in the session focused on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) and Renaturing the Built Environment. This session highlighted the crucial future directions for the construction sector, emphasizing sustainability and resilience as core elements. Such themes are deeply integrated with MULTICLIMACT’s objectives, which advocate for environmentally friendly interventions within real-world construction scenarios.
The ECTP conference served as an exceptional platform to display the ongoing efforts and future aspirations of MULTICLIMACT. The event gathered diverse stakeholders from across the construction value chain, enabling a fruitful exchange of experiences and ideas. Moreover, the presence of European Commission representatives added depth to the discussions, providing key insights into recent policy developments. These conversations underscored the significant role the EU Construction Industry plays in promoting the green and digital transitions within the Built Environment.
