Seven Horizon Europe-funded projects—CARMINE, CLIMRES, MAIA, MULTICARE, MULTICLIMACT, MINORITY REPORT, and RETIME—have signed a Collaboration Manifesto to accelerate Europe’s transition toward climate resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability. This joint commitment marks the creation of the Resilience of the Built Environment Cluster, a strategic alliance designed to amplify impact through coordinated research, innovation, and policy engagement.

The manifesto sets out a shared vision for a future-proof built environment that is adaptive to climate risks and inclusive of all communities. It emphasizes strengthening resilience at both local and systemic levels, bridging cutting-edge scientific tools with real-world applications across 31 European pilot sites, and ensuring that no community is left behind in the climate-smart transition.
Grounded in common principles of inclusivity, transparency, mutual benefit, scientific rigor, and sustainability, the cluster will pursue objectives such as:
Aligned with the European Green Deal, Horizon Europe Missions on Climate, Cities, and Resilience, and the principles of Open Science and the New European Bauhaus, this collaboration aims to deliver scalable, evidence-based solutions that support a climate-ready, just, and thriving Europe.

About MULTICLIMACT:
MULTICLIMACT is an EU-funded project aimed at safeguarding Europe’s built environment against the increasing threats of natural and climatic hazards. By uniting 25 leading European organisations, MULTICLIMACT aims to enhance resilience, sustainability, and safety for communities across the continent.
