On 16 October 2025, RINA took part in the Built4People Projects Clustering Event in Brussels, organised by CINEA, the European Commission, and ECTP under the STAR*track project. Represented by Fabrizio Tavaroli, RINA contributed to the technical session with NEB and P4P projects, presenting the MULTICLIMACT project.

During the session, RINA showcased the project’s approach to enhancing resilience, preparedness, and responsiveness of the built environment against multiple hazards at multiple scales. The presentation focused on MULTICLIMACT’s objectives, key innovations, and ongoing demonstration activities, highlighting how the project integrates climate adaptation actions across buildings, urban areas, and territories.

A central part of the presentation was the CREMA Tool, an innovative assessment framework developed within MULTICLIMACT to evaluate both the current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) resilience of built environments. This tool supports stakeholders in identifying vulnerabilities, planning interventions, and monitoring the progress of climate adaptation strategies.

Fabrizio Tavaroli also shared insights from cluster activities, which foster collaboration between European projects working on resilience and sustainability under the Built4People partnership. These exchanges are essential to accelerate innovation, align methodologies, and promote data-driven decision-making for the green and digital transition of the construction sector.

„The focus of this year event was on the affordable housing topic and the contribution provided to the conversation by MULTICLIMACT has been appreciated especially for what investment in the resilience field can do for the affordability: each euro invested in resilient solutions returns 4 € in the future. That information opened a new angle in the audience and I have been personally contacted by stakeholders of the built environment very interested in such opportunity” said Fabrizio Tavaroli.
